Intensive
Basic Course Japanese Level 1
Introduces basic Japanese grammar and sentence structures. Begin to communicate in daily life situations. Learn basic Japanese writing systems and write short paragraphs using Kanji learned in class. Become accustomed to Japanese sounds, accents, and intonations through listening drills, classroom exercises, and audio and video tapes. Level 1 establishes the foundations necessary for more advanced Japanese language levels. This course introduces hiragana, katakana, and approximately 200 kanji.
Intensive Basic Course
Japanese Level 2
Introduces a more difficult level of basic Japanese grammar and sentence structures. Develop more complex communication skills and communicate in daily life situations. Begin to read and comprehend short stories, and write short paragraphs and letters using kanji learned in class. Carry on short conversations through repeated practice and role-playing. Through pronunciation correction, begin to speak Japanese with more certainty. You are encouraged to recognize your own mistakes.

Intensive Intermediate Course
Japanese Level 3
Introduces more complex, advanced Japanese grammar and sentence structures. Develop advanced conversation skills, and be able to read general articles and essays. Practice speaking in a variety of social situations. Express your ideas and opinions in Japanese and analyze tapes, current news events, and academic essays. Special emphasis includes writing short essays & journals and delivering effective speeches in Japanese. Pair work and role playing are often utilized at this level. You are drilled on sentence structures, and you get plenty of practice carrying on extended conversations and delivering short speeches.
Intensive Intermediate
Course Japanese Level
4
Introduces less common advanced Japanese grammar and sentence structures. Special emphasis is placed on using appropriate Keigo (polite Japanese). Begin reading newspapers and academic textbooks, and write well-developed essays. Converse and create short sentences. Read and listen to Japanese essays describing several different aspects of modern Japan . You will gradually improve your conversation ability through class discussions and speeches.

Intensive Advanced Course Japanese
Level 5
Introduces more sophisticated Japanese. You will be able to express ideas successfully through speeches and writing essays. Interpret and logically express what you read in daily Japanese newspapers. Learn how to write content-oriented compositions and practice conversations through pair work and role playing. This level is increasingly more advanced and difficult.
Intensive Advanced Course Japanese Level 6
Designed for advanced students who want to acquire fluent communication abilities and be able to recognize and use appropriate Japanese depending on social situations. After completing this level, most students are able to pass level one of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (Nihongo Nouryoku Shiken), attaining a level of proficiency in Japanese that will usually allow them to successfully enter a Japanese college or university as a regular full-time student. Classroom activities are supplemented with newspaper readings, television, textbook readings, and the discussion of current issues in Japan . Your communication skills are enhanced through speeches, discussions, debates, role playing, task listening, and mock interviews.

The classes consist of a series of graded homeworks covering each section of the proficiency test, characters, vocabulary, listening, reading comprehension and grammar, The class also studies several complete past proficiency tests. The tests are discussed in class, and with a maximum of eight people in each group there will be ample opportunity to discuss personal areas of difficulty.
Please note that applicants for level 1-3 classes are required to take a level check test two weeks prior to the course starting.

ベーシッククラス レベル１
ひかがなを学びます。日本語でのコミュニケーションができ、230の漢字の認識ができ、150の漢字が書けるようにします。
このクラスでは日本語の50音、ひらがな、カタカナを学びます。
動詞の活用、基本文型、に重きをおきます。
漢字の読み方、基本的な動詞の発音とその意味を学びます。このクラスは
生徒の学習の中の基本文法と語彙数を増やすように作られています。
ベーシッククラス レベル２
日常会話と日本語能力検定試験4級程度の日本語力、漢字350字を認識する力を付けるコースです。このレベルを修了した生徒は簡単な会話で自分を表現することができます。
中級クラス レベル１
中級レベルの前半です。生徒は日本語の微妙なニュアンスや丁寧な形を用いて会話・コミュニケーションをし始めます。
ビジネスでもコミュニケーションができる能力をつけることができます。このレベルを修了すると漢字550字が読めるレベルの能力がつきます。
多くの慣用表現、口語表現がこのクラスで紹介されます。リスニング、漢字の読み書き、副詞・形容詞・不規則な形容詞の用法の能力を高める事に重きをおきます。視聴覚教材がテキストの補助として、会話における語彙の用法やリスニング練習のために用いられます。このレベルを修了すると日本人との日常会話において問題なく自分を表現できるようになります。
中級クラス レベル２
このレベルを修了すると、日本語能力検定試験３級への準備が整い、流暢なコミュニケーションができるようになります。日本社会へのより深い理解を持ち、ある程度新聞も読めるようになります。
上級クラス レベル１
このレベルを修了した生徒は日本語能力検定試験2級への準備が整い、日常生活において問題なく自分を表現でき、漢字1000字を認識できるようになります。
このレベルの生徒はほとんど問題なく新聞が読めるようになります。
上級クラス レベル２
このレベルを修了する生徒は日本語能力検定試験1級合格相当の力を持ち、日本の大学に入学する準備ができた状態です。漢字2000字以上を認識し、日本語が流暢になります。授業のほとんどがディベートやその時の話題を通し、レスフォーマルな日本語でおこなわれます。能力を磨くために何度でもこのコースをうけることができます。
新聞記事、テレビ・ラジオ番組など。日本の文化、社会、歴史、話題に関する読み物が、読みと会話のスピードの練習に用いられます。このレベルを修了すると、生徒は日本の大学の講義を理解することができます。
